Hoist International performs load test in the middle of the North Sea

No job too challenging, no location too outlandish: Hoist International performed a load test in the middle of the North Sea. It concerned testing a crane SWL 12,5 ton on oil tanker Alkiviadis 12,5 tons. The static test was completed with success. Hoist International was asked to perform a load test on the oil tanker Alkiviadis on short term. Within 24 hours, the material was brought offshore at the height of Scheveningen, the Netherlands with a supply vessel. The static test of the crane with a load of 12,5 tons was successfully completed, after which a report was written and delivered. And so, the work was completed to everyone’s satisfaction. Hoist International delivers electrical hoists for renovation subway station Stockholm

A large Swedish construction company was looking for electrical hoists for renovation activities in a subway station in Stockholm. The hoists needed to be operated radio-graphically and to be used serially. Therefore, the company was looking for a hoist and lift specialist and they found it in Hoist International. Via an European agent, Hoist International got an application for delivering nine electrical hoists. The hoists would be used during renovation activities at station Fridhemsplan, a subway station in Stockholm, Sweden. A station that was opened in 1952 and needed a large scale renewal. One of the demands for the hoists was radio-graphic operation: for our specialists no problem to equip the hoists as such. Therefore, the construction company responsible for the renovation choose for Hoist International. Now, the hoists are being used to give the subway station a complete make-over. Sif offshore foundations tests bolting using spreaders Hoist International

Sif, specialist in offshore foundations, chose to use a modular spreaderbeam with a WLL of 400.000 kg, including rigging, by Hoist International. This spreader is used for testing the bolting of a monopile and transition piece. All the spreaders that Hoist International delivers are provided with tubes, end pieces and bowshackles. Sif delivers offshore foundations for wind turbines and oil & gas platforms. Due to the fact that these foundations need to withstand strong natural forces, testing is an essential part of the production. To be able to test the bolting of a monopile and transition piece, Sif asked hoist and lift specialist Hoist International to deliver a modular spreaderbeam with a WLL of 400.000 kg, including rigging. This type of spreader is just one of the spreaderbeams we deliver. All spreaders are provided with tubes, different end pieces and bowshackles. Thanks to the equipment of Hoist International and our collaboration, Sif could deliver on its promise of delivering high-quality XL monopiles, on time and safely. Hoist International provides offshore enterprise with new steel cables

A large Scandinavian offshore company was looking for new steel wire ropes for a shipping crane. Hoist and lift equipment specialist Hoist International provided the right wire ropes to meet the special construction and high minimal breaking load (MBL). After a sea journey of 10.000 sea mile to the southern hemisphere, the steel wire ropes were delivered on location. A large Scandinavian offshore company asked Hoist International to think along in the replacement of crane wire ropes on a Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) ship. It turned out to be concerning special steel wire ropes with a complicated construction and a high MBL. Therefore, Hoist International talked via daughter enterprise KSC International to several partners to find the right wire ropes. And with success! Winches Hoist International support positioning bridge

Several Dutch companies joined forces to place a new bridge over a wide European river. To keep the working pontoon in its place, Hoist International was asked to deliver the winches. Via the pontoon the steel construction of the bridge was positioned over the river and installed. The working pontoon for positioning a bridge over a river, drifts free in the water. To ensure that the pontoon stays in its place, winches of Hoist International are used in this particular project. Together with other Dutch companies, the steel construction is placed over the river, so that the river banks are connected. Fast relocation old train wagons thanks to Hoist International

Sometimes, it is faster and cheaper to move train wagons through the air, noted one of our customers. A couple of old train wagons needed to be relocated to the other side of the terrain, but the tracks didn’t connect properly. Therefore, the company hired a crane company, who on his turn asked Hoist International to deliver spreaders and stopping means. It was a strange sight: old train wagons that are relocated through the air. But our customer realized that he could save expenses this way, since the tracks didn’t connect properly. Hoist and lift specialist Hoist International was asked to deliver two ATEX bunker cranes by an international shipping company. The two cranes are used to load and unload materials on and off the ship. On the moment of delivery, the ship was in the dock to undergo the needed adjustments. The truck of hoist and lift specialist Hoist International drove to an international location to deliver two ATEX bunker cranes. The hefty freight was meant for a research ship that was in the dock to undergo the last adjustments. The bunker cranes meet the highest safety standards and are approved by Lloyd’s Register. Hoist International helps to straighten dike house

A customer of Hoist International approached the hoist and lifting specialist for a restoration job. He carried out activities at the foundation of a traditional Dutch dike house. To supplement the materials he needed for the restoration, he rented several lifting bags with us. We also helped him connect the system. The dike house needed to be straightened and lifted for twenty centimeters. For that, our customer used several lifting bags, but he came short. That is when he approached us. We delivered the lifting bags, including tubes and controls, directly from stock. We also helped our customer to connect the system, to be able to restore the house completely. Hoist International sends 10 pneumatic chain hoists to Mediterranean sun

While the Dutch weather is wet, cold and stormy, we gave ten of our pneumatic chain hoists a well-deserved working holiday in the Mediterranean sun. The chain hoists have a Weight Load Limit (WLL) of 15 ton and support an international relation that needed the hoists urgently at maintenance activities. Within three days the chain hoists, which are in top form, had traveled thousands of kilometers to assist our relation in the scorching sun for four weeks. Talk about last-minute! Zeevenhooven Air and Hoist International combine forces for Mammoet

Hoist and transport specialist Mammoet was asked by Nyrstar in Budel to change the dry columns during the turnaround of the factory. Mammoet decided to ask Zeevenhooven Air and Hoist International for help. The solution that was offered, consisted of two 60-ton air hoists of Hoist International powered by 18m3 air compressor of Zeevenhooven Air.
